Our Story

Hi, we’re Delaney and Jeremy Shaffer, a father-daughter duo behind Marel Co., and we’re so excited to share our journey with you.

For Delaney, the idea of starting her own brand had always been a dream. Denim has always been a fabric close to her heart—after all, she’s been working with it since high school when she used denim in two fashion shows. But finding denim that fit her perfectly, especially with a more muscular build, was a challenge she couldn’t ignore. That’s when she decided to create a solution—Marel Co., where every woman could find the perfect-fitting denim.

Before launching, Delaney studied fashion design in college and worked in the fashion world. Jeremy, with his many years of experience in building brands and starting companies, brought invaluable knowledge and support. Together, we created Marel Co.—a brand focused on not just making denim that fits but also making a positive impact on the world.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From the fabrics we choose to how we run the business, we’re committed to lowering our footprint and creating denim that will last—because we believe the world needs more durable, thoughtful fashion. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and as we grow, we’ll continue to find new ways to make our impact even more positive.

And that impact goes beyond our product. Each quarter, we donate a percentage of our sales to organizations making meaningful change — because we believe in giving back to the communities and causes that matter. Supporting others is a core part of who we are, and as we grow, we plan to expand how and where we give.

Our goal is simple: to build a community of people who care about the same things we do. We hope our denim becomes something you love to wear, something that fits you just right, and something that helps make the world a little better.
