This piece is part of a limited collaboration with Kate Freeman of The Artificers, where art and garment come together in a truly one-of-a-kind way. Each canvas begins as a hand-painted work by Kate, using acrylic paint blended with a fabric medium to enhance flexibility and durability - allowing the artwork to move naturally with the garment.
The painted canvas is reworked into this piece through a precise, hands-on process. The back panel is measured and cut into one-inch strips, then interwoven with matching canvas strips to create a clean, uniform weave with added texture and dimension.
No two pieces are exactly alike. Each one carries the character of the original artwork and the hands that shaped it, making every piece entirely unique.
