This piece is part of a limited collaboration with Kate Freeman of The Artificers, where art and garment come together in a truly one-of-a-kind way. Each canvas begins as a hand-painted work by Kate, using acrylic paint blended with a fabric medium to enhance flexibility and durability - allowing the artwork to move naturally with the garment.
The painted canvas is reworked into this piece by opening the side seams at the hem to enhance the flare. A triangular canvas panel is then precisely measured, cut, and applied, adding a striking pop of color and a unique, sculptural silhouette.
No two pieces are exactly alike. Each one carries the character of the original artwork and the hands that shaped it, making every piece entirely unique.
